Normanhurst Public School library is open Monday to Thursday.
The library is well resourced with a wide range of reading material for students and staff. In addition we also have a network of 14 computers for students to use and an interactive whiteboard.
Each class visits the library once a week for a one hour library lesson with Mrs Spender. During their library lesson children from Kindergarten to Year 2 can borrow 3 books and children from Years 3 to 6 can borrow up to 5 resources for a period of two weeks. The library is open for students during lunchtime Monday to Thursday each week from 1:25pm to 1:50pm.
Mrs Spender (our teacher librarian) is assisted by Mrs Thomson (school library assistant) and the wonderful Year 6 library monitors, who give up their time to help run the library at lunchtime.
